Why do I have to pay for 3 pollution units, when I only have a 2 person household?
Every household with more than one person pays for 3 pollution units.
2 fixed rates apply for the water treatment charge:
- a single-person household rate (1 pollution unit or 1 've')
- a multiple-person household rate (3 pollution units or 3 've'). Two-person households will be charged the multiple-person household rate.
Good to know
- (Small) children also count as a part of your household.
- Do you come to live alone at your address during the year? Then you will pay a lower water treatment charge. We will lower your water treatment charge automatically for you.
